Day 1 Leave Los Angeles

Day 2 Cross the International Dateline

Day 3 Auckland
On arrival in Auckland, travel to Hotel du Vin. Surrounded by the picturesque vines of the De Redcliffe winery, tranquil native bush and the crystal clear streams of the Mangatawhiri Valley just a 45 minute drive south of Auckland, Hotel du Vin offers guests an impressive view of New Zealand. Forty-six luxuriously appointed chalet style rooms and a refined standard of personal service are further complemented by exquisite original New Zealand cuisine. 

Day 4 Auckland - Rotorua Journey south via the rich  Waikato farmlands and the city of Hamilton enroute to Waitomo. Here you travel silently by boat along the underground river, surrounded by sparkling glow-worms and intricate limestone formations. The caves tour and lunch at Waitomo are included today. This afternoon you continue the journey driving over the bush clad Mamaku ranges to Rotorua, and Solitaire Lodge.

Day 5 Rotorua
Solitaire Lodge is one of the most elegant lodges in the South Pacific. The perfect lakeside location, only a short drive from Rotorua, offers stunning panoramas of Lake Tarawera. The consistently high standard of service at the Lodge upholds its reputation for excellence. There are only 10 suites, which ensures privacy, whilst still providing the opportunity to mingle and converse with other guests. Enjoy the sights of Rotorua today, including the Thermal Reserve and Maori Arts and Crafts institute.

Day 6 Rotorua - Queenstown
Transfer to the airport for the flight to Queenstown. Transfer to your accommodation at Matakauri Lodge. Nestled amongst bush on the edge of Lake Wakatipu in Queenstown, the Lodge offers absolute comfort as well as stunning panoramic views. Matakauri Lodge, with its adjoining villas, is luxuriously appointed and has been designed to be in harmony with the lakefront environment and surrounding bush.

Day 7 Queenstown
Today you are picked up from your hotel helipad and flown via the famous Milford Track and Sutherland Falls to Milford Sound where we land and allow you to absorb the beauty of Milford. We then whisk you out to the mouth of the Sound and along the rugged West Coast where you have the opportunity to view seals in their natural colonies. From the Tasman Sea we will fly inland over glaciers and frozen lakes to one of our secret wilderness sites.

Day 8 Queenstown
At leisure.

Day 9 Queenstown - Christchurch
Travel by road on a scenic journey from Queenstown to Mount Cook via the Lindis Pass. Time is allowed for lunch and an optional scenic flight (both at additional cost) before continuing the ride beyond the Southern Alps to Christchurch and your accommodation at The George hotel.

Day 10 Christchurch - Home 
After a morning at leisure, transfer to the airport for your flight to Los Angeles (via Auckland).
