Day Sicilian Sun Itinerary

Day
1 Friday: USA to Catania
Overnight flight from the US to Catania (not included in price noted
here - please call for airfare information)
Day
2 Saturday: Catania
Welcome to Sicily! Upon arrival, you will have a private transfer
to the hotel. Tonight, enjoy a welcome cocktail dinner and overnight
at your hotel.
Day
3 Sunday: Catania - Siracusa - Ragusa
After our buffet breakfast, depart for Siracusa and visith the archaeological
area including the famous Latomie of the Paradise and the Dyionisios
"Ear". Continue to the island of Ortigia, historical center
of the city. Lunch on your own. Visit to the Cathedral and Arethuse
Fountain. Depart for Ragusa and accommodation at Hotel Mediterraneo.
This evening, will be dedicated to a fascinating visit of the historical
center of Ibla and a dinner in a famous restaurant with a typical
Sicilian menu.
Day
4 Monday: Ragusa - Piazza - Armerina - Agrigento
Today, afte ryour buffet breakfast, depart for Caltagirone, famous
center of Sicilian ceramic production. Continue to Piazza Armerina
and visit Villa Romanan del Casale know for its preserved mosaics.
Lunch in a local restaurant with a special menu highlighting local
specialities. Depart for Agrigento and visit the Valley of the Temples.
Accommodation and dinner at your hotel. After dinner, enjoy an unforgettable
tour of the Valley of the Temples by night.
Day 5 Tuesday: Agrigento - Monreale
- Palermo
This morning after breakfast depart for Palermo. First stop in Monreale
for a visit to the Cathedral, one of the most beautiful monuments
in the world. You will also visit the Benedictine Cloister. Lunch
on your own in Monreale. Continue to visit the historica center
of Palermoe, one of the largest in Europe (including the Cathedral,
the Palatine Chapel, the Royal Palace). Accommodation at your hotel.
Dinner and overnight.
Day
6 Wednesday: Palermo - Segesta - Erice - Trapani
After enjoying your breakfast, we will depart for Segesta to admire
the Temple and the theater surrounded by a beautiful landscape.
Continue to the medieval village of Erice situated at the top of
a hill, and wander its tiny and characteristic streets. Lunch on
your own. Our next sto pis Trapani to view the working salt windmills.
Return to Palermo. Dinner at a local restaurant.
Day
7 Thursday: Palermo - Cafalu - Parco Dei Nebrodi
Depart for Cefalu after breakfast and visit an Arab-Norman Cathedral.
Enjoy a walk in the streets of this small village and continue to
the Park of of "Nebrodi." Stop at the Miraglia Forest
for lunch with a typical menu including homemade pasta. Continue
to Cesaro Randazzo and visit the Etna Park from an unusual northern
view. Evening arrival in Giardini Naxos for dinner and overnight
at your hotel.
Day
8 Friday: Toarmina - Giardini Naxos
After breakfast, full day at leisure in one of the most famouse Mediterranean
resorts. Enjoy this free day by walking in the streets of Taormina,
a town that has inspired poets and artists. You may choose an optional
excursion to Mount Etna. This evening, we will enjoy a festive farewell
dinner at a famous restaurant in the center of Taormina.

9 Saturday: Toarmina - Giardini Naxos
After your buffet breakfast, private transfer to Catania airport,
which ends our tour.
