Favorite Vacation: While I spent the first 26 years
of my life in Australia, I still enjoy returning each year to discover
more about this amazing country. Last year, my travels took me to
the Kuranda Rain Forest in the Great Barrier Reef, where I experienced
the incredible scenery below while riding in the Skyrail. My visit
to Ayres Rock was made even more spectacular in the evening as the
stars were the brightest that I have seen. My days started and ended
with sunrises and sunsets that were picture perfect. I was sad to
leave such an amazing place. But, my exciting journey went on to
Coober Pedy to see the Opal Mines. My stay that evening was in an
underground hotel called The Cave. Next morning's flight on an 8
passenger Cessna took us over the Painted Desert which was covered
with colorful rocks. My last stop was Kangaroo Island in South Australia
is known for their beautiful beaches complete with seals sunning
on the sand. I am busy planning my next trip to the land down under!
