Day 4 Auckland - Coromandel
We depart Auckland to visit the beautiful Coromandel Peninsula. Your Kiwi hosts make the tour fun, entertaining and filled with knowledge - their love and respect for the mountains, forest coastline and creatures within is evident from the moment you meet them. Accommodation, 2 nights.

Day 5 Coromandel Peninsula
At stunning Hahei Beach we walk to an historic Maori Pa (fortified village), which overlooks islands, beaches and volcanic peaks. Follow the coast to Cooks Beach. See "treasures" from nature and, tide permitting, we will stroll to unique "Hotwater Beach".

Day 6 Coromandel - Rotorua
We leave the Coromandel and enter the Bay of Plenty, home to plantations of Kiwi fruit, citrus, avocados, and flowers. See New Zealand's "mural town", Katikati, with its open-air art and then drive south passing lakes to Rotorua, a city built in the crater of a huge volcano with steam rising from the ground in every part of this fascinating place. Accommodation, 1 night.

Day 7 Rotorua - Queenstown
Transfer to the airport for your flight to the alpine, adventure capital of New Zealand. Accommodation, 3 nights.

Day 8 Queenstown
Journey through some of the most beautiful countryside in New Zealand to Milford Sound to board the vessel for a leisurely cruise along the Sound to the Tasman Sea. The vessel stops at various points and plenty of time is available to view waterfalls, rainforest, mountains and seals. You may even see dolphins frolic alongside the boat.

Day 9 Queenstown

Day 10 Queenstown - Franz Josef
Travel the scenic and rugged west coast of New Zealand to the glacier region. Accommodation, 2 nights.

Day 11 Franz Josef
Enjoy a half-day trip to include a one-mile interpretive walk to the terminal face and a minimum of a full hour exploring the lower reaches of the Franz Josef Glacier. During the walk, your guide will provide the story of the history of the glacier and geology in action.

Day 12 Franz Josef - Christchurch
Continue your journey to Christchurch. Accommodation, 2 nights.
