Combine a classic masted schooner with modern technology and prepare
to be dazzled as, in a mere two minutes, crisp white sails unfurl
above the teak decking at the touch of a button. An alternative
to the usual cruise vacation, Windstar vessels seamlessly combine
the romance of skimming the sea beneath billowing sails and the
amenities associated with a luxury cruise liner.
Special Features
Discriminating guests savor Windstar’s innovative signature
cuisine in open seating restaurants and Wind Surf’s alternative
restaurant, the Bistro. Menus feature dishes created by trendy California
chef and restaurateur Joachim Splichal, as well as vegetarian and
light offerings.
Varied, unique itineraries and a mixture of shore adventures and
water sports activities centering around the ships’ water
marina deck are Windstar highlights.
The on board décor is nautical elegance and the atmosphere
relaxed and unregimented. Expect to be pampered in the spa and leave
your formal attire at home.
There are no elevators on Windstar Cruises' three smaller vessels.
Wind Surf has two elevators, but cabins are not designed for wheelchair
accessibility. However, to the extent feasible, the needs of physically
challenged guests are accommodated. Depending on berthing conditions
and tides, gangways can be extremely steep.
